30 Days of Writing Meme - Day 4

The one I most clearly remember was a story for school, when I was around 9 years old. We were doing a project on Ancient Egypt, and we had to write a day in the life of an Egyptian. Everyone else chose priests and princesses, so I went to the other end of the spectrum and picked the slave girl who was punished for not doing all her chores, and who was very fond of the cats which lurked about. She had epic tragic backstory, which the Princess found very amusing, especially the whole abducted-from-family saga. My teacher went o.0 and told me I had an overactive imagination ;) I don't know what gave me away.
